A purpose-built, non-contact overhead scanner for imaging Dr. Orville
Owen's cipher canvas in place — designed around the conservation
constraints described in Dr. Carla Groenewegen's Baconiana article
(Vol. 1, No. 6, June 2017): nothing rolls, nothing is pressed, the
canvas is never re-spooled. Bolt-together strut construction, no
welding; knocks down for transport; sourced almost entirely from
one hardware supplier. This list will be added to.

  Note: the gantry elevation and cross-section were drawn against an
  earlier 5-ft canvas assumption; the artifact's canvas is 48 inches

  trim heights to the 48-inch figures at build time.
